Orthoceras tower

Orthoceras are extinct straight-shelled cephalopods that lived during the Upper Devonian period around 370 million years ago. They lived inside their shells, used tentacles to grab food and used jet propulsion to get around.

The rock containing them is quarried from the Atlas Mountains in Morocco and polished to give it that nice sheen. They closely resemble squid today, minus the shell. During their reign, Orthoceras were very common making up a significant proportion of the ocean's biomass.

I love how unique each tower is. I've used it as sphere holder, a necklace holder and it's visually striking.
